AUX LLC: Intune Deployment

  • by

Business Need

In response to the Aux LLC’s transition to Microsoft 365, there was a critical need for a robust device registration and management system to safeguard both corporate and customer data. This need became particularly urgent as a significant portion of their workforce moved to remote operations. The solution required capabilities for remote device wiping, baseline security management, and enforcement of compliance policies. Additionally, it was crucial to prevent the transfer of company data to non-corporate resources, such as third-party emails, unencrypted USB drives, and personal OneDrive accounts, to maintain stringent data security standards.

What We Did

Gecco Solutions successfully executed a migration to Microsoft 365 for its users, integrating Intune with Windows Information Protection to enhance security measures. The team supported the initial setup and onboarding of users into the Intune device management system. They also conducted a comprehensive assessment of security needs, crafting a tailored endpoint security strategy that included device encryption, password protocols, antivirus, firewall settings, and additional security measures for devices. In collaboration with the Client’s IT staff, Gecco Solutions meticulously tested all configurations during a phased roll-out. They also provided extensive training and support to the Client’s team on the onboarding processes for user devices. This support extended to the practical implementation phase within the Production environment, including validating successful onboarding and addressing any emergent issues, such as Azure AD Join complications and policy enforcement challenges.

The Result

In addition to providing strategic planning and deployment support for the Intune service, including execution of Proof of Concept (POC) and pilot deployments, the Client was equipped with comprehensive training concerning the onboarding process and anticipated device behaviors during integration. Gecco Solutions’ guidance throughout the production onboarding phase, all users were seamlessly integrated into Intune using the specified configurations. Following this, users transitioned from audit mode to full enforcement, enhancing overall security compliance. Utilizing a group-based assignment strategy, policies were meticulously tailored and applied to distinct workgroups as required. This method afforded the Alliance Group enhanced control over the compliance and administration of devices, irrespective of their geographic locations, thereby optimizing operational efficiency and security governance across the organization.
